[Back to Top] General Game Rules
Tournament: Identifies the name of the tournament within which the contestant is competing.
Time Remaining: A tournament runs for a fixed, predetermined period of time. The time remaining is a visual approximation of the amount of time the contestant may continue to compete before the tournament ends, and the winner(s) determined.
Rounds Played: The number of rounds played, and remaining, where applicable, is represented within the various tournaments of Click2Win® Tournaments by either, “Number of Pulls” or “Hands Played”. A round represents the game-play that begins with a virtual “wager” and ends upon the final outcome resulting from that virtual “wager”. The round visually indicated is the round that the competitor is currently competing. If there is a limit placed upon the number of rounds that can be played, this limit will be indicated visually. For example, if the competitor is competing within their third round out of a maximum of ten rounds, the Rounds Played would appear as “3 (of 10)”. If there were no limit placed upon the number of rounds the Rounds Played would appear as “3”.
Grand Prize: Identifies the grand prize for the tournament that the competitor is competing. The grand prize is the prize awarded the individual with the highest balance of virtual chips on a single tournament token within the tournament at the end of the period of time designated for the tournament. The grand prize is awarded to the first place winner. In the even of a tie, the Grand Prize is distributed evenly amongst all those competitors that have tied for first place.
Min. Bet: Visually identifies the minimum virtual “wager” that may be placed within the tournament. A virtual “wager” may not be made below the Minimum Bet amount. In the event that a virtual “wager” has been placed that is below the Minimum Bet and the contestant indicates their desire to continue the current round within the tournament by placing the virtual “wager”, the virtual “wager” amount will be adjusted to the minimum “bet” amount and “bet” for the current round.
Max. Bet: Visually identifies the maximum virtual “wager” that may be placed within the tournament. A virtual “wager” may not be made above the Maximum Bet amount. If there is no maximum “bet” assigned to the tournament, the maximum “bet” will be indicated via the representation of the maximum “bet” as “No Limit”.
View High Scores: Clicking this button opens a window containing the Screen Names and Balances of virtual chips of the top five high scores (balance of virtual chips) in the tournament. The contestant may select this option to see how well he/she stacks up against other competitors. The View High Scores window may be kept open allowing the contestant to monitor their real-time progress and plan their winning strategy.
Screen Name: The competitor is represented by their Screen Name. The Screen Name is the name the contestant has chosen, when first joining Click2Win® Tournaments, to be identified by within the tournaments.
Balance: The Balance is a visual representation of the contestant’s score within the tournament. The contestant’s balance of virtual chips is for scorekeeping purposes only and has no monetary value. Upon the completion of the tournament, the scores of all contestants' individual game tokens will be compared within the tournament to determine the winner(s). In the event multiple game tokens are used in the same tournament, each tokens' score will be counted alone. Scores from multiple tokens are not cummulative.
Bet: The Bet is a visual representation of the amount of virtual chips that the contestant may “wager” on the next round within the tournament. When the contestant chooses their “bet” amount, that amount will be deducted from the contestant’s balance of virtual chips.
Quit: When the contestant has completed participating within the tournament he or she may select the Quit text link. Selecting this option will result in the contestant being asked to confirm their selection. The Player will be given three choices:
1. Yes, the contestant wants to leave the tournament and deactivate their tournament token. If the contestant wants to re-enter, at a later time, he or she may use a new token to enter with a brand new, initial balance of virtual chips.
2. No, the contestant indicates a desire to cancel the Quit request and continue competing within the current tournament.
3. Suspend, the contestant wants to temporarily exit the current tournament. However, the contestant may rejoin, at a later time, to continue from exactly where he or she has left off, as long as there is time remaining.
If the contestant decides to Quit the tournament, the token will become inactive. Upon the token becoming inactive, the contestant is able to Re-Join the tournament with a new token. If the contestant opts to not Quit the tournament, he or she may Re-Join as many times as desired. As long as there is sufficient time remaining to compete, the contestant may continue to rejoin or enter an active tournament.
Quick Get 5 Tokens: Provides a simple and convenient way to obtain additional tokens while competing within a tournament. Clicking this button will result in the contestant’s account being processed for the then current service fee associated with obtaining five additional tokens; the contestant’s five new tokens, as soon as they are available, are represented along with the tokens the contestant currently has available, displayed below the Quick Get 5 Tokens text link. The service charge associated with this transaction is calculated as the sum of the service charges of five individual tokens, obtained one at a time, via the ‘Manage Account’ page. (See the ‘Manage Account’ page to see the service fee associated with the acquisition of a single token.)
Status: Represents the connectivity status between the tournament and the Click2Win® Tournaments server.
Active: Indicates that the tournament is actively communicating with the server.
Connecting: Indicates the tournament is actively contacting the server to recommence communication. This stage can occur for a duration of time up to thirty seconds. A pop-up window will appear during this process to indicate the tournament’s attempts to contact the server.
Re-Connect: Indicates that all of the information for the competitor within the tournament has been saved. The competitor will be prompted to re-join the tournament from the “Rejoin Active Tournaments” section of the website at a point exactly where he or she left off.
Note: Bank management, the management of your balance of virtual chips, is a key element of strategy in Click2Win® Tournaments. A contestant may simply join a tournament, not place a virtual “wager”, and depending on the wins and losses of the other competitors, win the tournament.
Note: There is no value associated with virtual chips; they are merely a method by which the competitor keeps score. [Back to Top] Blackjack Rules
Blackjack Rules
Overview
Blackjack is a game utilizing eight, standard, 52 card decks of playing cards, where strategy is applied to get a hand of cards as close to 21 without going over. Strategy must be applied to beat other Blackjack Tournament competitors. Every competitor starts with the same balance of virtual chips. The one or two players with the greatest balance of virtual chips at the end of the tournament win(s). Each competitor must decide how often and when to hit the hand dealt. Each competitor must decide when to "bet" and when to stand. Each participant must decide how much to "wager" on the current hand; and whether to split or double-down. The individual(s) with the greatest balance(s) of virtual chips at the end of the tournament are awarded real prizes. Each individual must use skill and cunning to outplay their competitors, to work to obtain the highest balance of virtual chips within the tournament.
Game Play
Blackjack is played with eight, fifty-two card decks. After each round has been played, the used cards are shuffled back into the deck. All face cards are valued at ten and the cards from 2-10 are valued as indicated. Aces can be valued as either one or eleven; if counting the Ace as eleven would put the hand over twenty-one, the Ace is, instead, automatically associated with the value of one. The competitor does not specify the value associated with the Ace. The value of the Ace is always assigned the value that results in the best hand for the competitor. The value of a hand is the sum of all of the values of the individual cards. For example, a hand containing a Jack, 3, and 4 has a value of 17.
The competitor’s chips are stacked by denomination ($1, $5, $25, $50, $100) at the center-bottom of the window. The competitor may select the amount they would like to "wager" by clicking on the chip of the desired denomination. The competitor may "wager" by selecting the chip denominations to "wager". To remove a virtual "wager", simply click on the virtual stack of "wagered" chips in the center of the tournament window. If you place a virtual "wager" that is lower than the minimum table "bet" limit, your "bet" amount will be automatically adjusted to the minimum "bet" amount upon selecting the Deal button.
A hand of blackjack is begun by placing a "bet" on the table and clicking on the Deal button. The Player will then receive two cards, face-up. The dealer will receive one card, face-up, and one card, face-down. Once the Player has been dealt two cards (and based upon the value of these cards) the following action buttons become available:
Hit: When selected, the competitor receives another card, face-up. A Hit may be requested as many times as desired. However, if the sum of the cards that the competitor holds meets or exceeds twenty-one, the competitor may no longer Hit; if the total exceeds twenty-one, the hand "bust’s" and the competitor loses the hand.
Stand: Selecting Stand indicates that the tournament competitor wishes to receive no further cards in the current hand. The competitor’s hand, as it exists at the moment of selecting Stand, will be judged against the dealer’s hand.
Split: When two cards of the same denomination are dealt, the Splitbutton becomes clickable. The dealt hand can then be Split into two separate hands. These two hands are then played separately. The value of the original "bet" is assigned to each of the two hands of the competitor and deducted from your balance of virtual chips. If you have an insufficient balance of virtual chips to match your original "bet" the Split option is not available. Each hand can then be played out by the competitor, as usual. However, when splitting Aces, only one additional card per hand is dealt. An arrow is displayed next to the hand that is currently active. All blackjack actions may be performed on the active hand. The split option can only be used once per round. Any winning hand value of 21, obtained after splitting a pair, is paid 1-to-1.
Double Down:
Double Down can only be selected immediately after the competitor receives their first two cards of the current hand. Upon selecting this option, three things occur: (1) the initial "bet" amount will be doubled, (2) one more card is dealt, and (3) the current round will end, and a winner determined.
Insurance: Whenever the dealer's up-card (showing card) is an Ace, the participant has the option to take insurance. The competitor will be prompted regarding their desire to either take insurance or not. If the tournament competitor opts out of taking insurance by selecting No, the rest of the hand, and game play, proceeds as normal. However, if the competitor believes that the dealer's down-card is a card with a value of 10, then the competitor may elect to obtain Insurance by selecting Yes. Selecting to purchase insurance is the equivalent of placing a side "bet", of half the original, virtual "wager", that the dealer does have a card of value of 10, resulting in a Blackjack. If the dealer does have a card with a value of 10, the tournament competitor is paid 2-to-1 on the insurance "bet".
Note: The Double Down and Split options are only available immediately after the first two cards are dealt the competitor. If the dealer has an Ace showing, the participant will be offered a chance to buy Insurance for half of the amount of the "bet". When insurance is purchased the participant is, in effect, making a second "bet". This is a "bet" that the dealer has a natural blackjack. If the dealer does have a natural blackjack (in other words, the dealer’s down card is a ten or a face card), the competitor will collect a payout of 2-to-1 on the insurance. When winning the insurance, the competitor will also lose their original, virtual "wager", unless the competitor also has a natural blackjack. If the competitor also has a natural blackjack the original, virtual "wager" will be a push. If the dealer does not have a natural twenty-one, the rest of the hand is played out as usual; the insurance "bet" is lost.
If the hand is won, the original "bet" plus the same amount in profit is paid out and the player’s balance of virtual chips is incremented accordingly. A hand that consists of an Ace and any card with a value of ten is called a natural twenty-one, or a natural blackjack (except in the case of a Split hand - see details above). If the hand is won with a natural blackjack, the participant will be paid out at three-to-two, the original "bet" plus 150% profit. (i.e. If the player "bet" $50, achieves a natural twenty-one, the competitor will receive $50 (original "bet") plus $75 (original "bet" plus half of the original "bet"), totaling $125.)

Place Your Bets! Pop-up Window - Indicates that the tournament competitor has to place the "bet" amount for the upcoming hand. The competitor may either select the different chip piles to allocate the desired "bet" amount or, if at least one hand has already taken place, select the re-bet button so as to place the same virtual "wager" amount on the upcoming hand as was placed on the previous hand. Once the virtual "wager" amount has been set to the desired value, the Deal button must be selected to officially place the current "bet". To clear the current virtual "wager" amount the center pile of chips may be clicked, zeroing the virtual "wager" amount.
Push Pop-up Window - Indicates that the competitor, at the end of a hand, has tied the dealer’s hand. The competitor has neither won nor lost; the balance of virtual chips will be restored.
You Win! Pop-up Window - Indicates that the current hand has been won by the tournament competitor. This window will also display the amount of virtual cash won by the competitor for their current hand.
Bust Pop-up Window - The Bust Pop-up Window appears when the value of the competitor’s hand has exceeded twenty-one. The dealer wins the current hand when the tournament competitor experiences a bust.
Dealer Wins - The dealer’s hand was a better hand than the competitor’s hand. The better hand is that hand that gets closest to 21 without going over.
Additional Actions
Re-Bet Button - For all hands played after the competitor’s first hand, the option to "re-bet" is provided. Re-Bet allows for the "re-betting" of the prior, virtual "wager" amount on the competitor’s next hand. When the competitor elects to "re-bet" the next hand begins immediately, and the cards are automatically dealt. If the tournament competitor’s balance of virtual chips is less than the amount previously "wagered", the Re-Bet button is not available.
Dealt Hand Value - To display the value of the sum of the competitor’s hand of cards then move the mouse over the competitor’s dealt hand. An Ace will be computed with a value of 11 unless the value of 11 puts the value of the current hand over 21; in that case, the value of the Ace will represented with a value of 1.
Insurance Chip Pile Value - To display the value of the virtual "wager" associated with the insurance purchased by the competitor move the mouse over the pile of virtual chips associated with the insurance "bet". Only available when the competitor has opted for insurance on the current hand.
Center Chip Pile Value - To display the value of the competitor’s desired, virtual "wager" move the mouse over the center pile of virtual chips.

With every switch, the participant’s balance of virtual chips will be carried from the current slot machine over to the selected machine. Each tournament competitor can decide when and how frequently to switch from slot machine to slot machine.
Each participant within a Slots tournament must employ a strategy that takes account of the variety of available slot machines, and their unique game play characteristics.

Game Play
The tournament competitor must place a “bet” every time he or she wishes to spin the current slot machine’s wheels. The “bet” must be at least “$1” (unless an alternate minimum “bet” has been specified), and less than, or equal to, the maximum “bet” assigned the specific slot machine in the specific tournament. The competitor may increase their “bet” amount by clicking on the Increase Bet arrow; each click will result in the “bet” amount increasing by “$1”. The competitor may click this arrow until the Maximum Bet amount is reached. Alternatively, the competitor may increase their “bet” to the Maximum Bet amount by clicking on the Max Bet button. The participant may also decrease their “bet” amount by clicking on the Decrease Bet arrow; each click here results in the “bet” amount decreasing by “$1”. Another way the tournament competitor may increase their “bet” amount by “$1” at a time is be clicking on the “bet” button, to the left of the Bet Max button on the slot machine. NOTE: Selecting Bet Max will automatically “wager” the maximum “bet” allowed for the current slot machine and begin the spinning of the slot machine’s wheels.
Once the competitor has decided upon and set their desired “bet” level, he or she may place the current “bet” by clicking on either the Spin button, or the handle (i.e. slot machine arm) of the current slot machine. Selecting Bet Max will automatically allocate the maximum “bet” for the current slot machine and place that “bet”.
Once the wheels of the slot machine have been set in motion, the competitor’s current “bet” has been placed. After each spin, the wheels come to rest with a random selection of slot machine symbols displayed. Each slot machine has its own set of winning combinations. These desired combinations, and their respective payouts can be read on the payout table at the top of the slot machine or later on in these rules, listed with along with the appropriate slot machine types.
A Slots tournament consists of all three types of Slot machines. Upon entering a Slots tournament the competitor may switch from one type of slot machine to another as frequently as desired. The Slots Tournament competitor may select to play Big Bertha, a game of strategy with a traditional look.

The pattern being matched against the patterns within the payout table occurs along the center horizontal line, across all 3 wheels, of the slot machine. Payouts on winning machine pulls are determined as a multiple of the placed “bet”.
When the Increase and Decrease “bet” buttons are pressed, the payout table displayed on the machine dynamically updates to reflect the amount of virtual chips the competitor can win should the competitor achieve the associated winning combinations.
